He had to do it for the United Kingdom Mandatory Literacy Test (UKMLT). His topic was arguing that cheddar cheese is better than blue cheese.
Failure to pass the test means you statistically count towards the country's illiteracy and you are exiled to Australia or something.

Canadians spell it "colour", not "color". Only Americunts say color I think.

those are the major lists. But it various. In Canada, provinces like Ontario and Saskatchewan have HEAVY American influences, therefore you see a lot of Favor and Color. In places like Australia and Hong Kong, they are too far to have HEAVY American influences, although there are, but they are VERY minor.

Also, the red ones are not countries in themselves, but a large group of them. Nearly everyone says "colour", it's just the Americans trying to be different all those decades ago :P
