Title: Would people be interested in another UHC?
Post by: luisc99 on 20 September 2015, 11:28:24 AM: I've had people ask me about it, and I've kept putting it off for no reason whatsoever. Now I understand people wanting one, because I kinda want one too.

I was thinking of doing a no-teams singles match of just plain old PVP, in 1.8 because the snapshots confuse me with their new combat shenanigans. A world border would be nice too, maybe a 2000 at the start (x/z±1000) to 200 after about 2 hours (x/z±100), to try and keep the time short and so people find each other. Teams of 2 could be done easily though, if you want.

Pick a date, preferably a Friday / Saturday, and a time. We've had 7, 8 and 9PM GMT before, and I presume 8PM would be best for now as it's summer. Up to you though.

Whaddya say?

I'd reduce the borders much more rapidly than it has in the past to avoid the UHC going on too long. I'd start at xz1000 and reduce it to xz100 as quickly as an hour (or even faster!) to force people to be close together. If we can make it fast, there's the possibility of having more than one game in a night (but that's totally optional).

Faster, tighter UHC is my vote. And yes I'd like to see another one happen

So it would be like 18 on 2. : P
