I can't really follow the format for this, but let me explain. So I was joking around and I changed my nickname to Katie's old nickname, and for some odd reason, Livid jailed me. I don't know what I was doing wrong, but then Livid talked to peng and peng said jail me for 6 hours. I don't know what what I did wrong, but I find this like they're abusing their powers because I WAS JOKING. It says nowhere in the rules that impersonation is a rule. Please forgive me and unjail me, if I did anything wrong

if someones impersonating, I usually just change there nickname. I usually don't jail. I'll let Livid and Peng say why they jailed you before I unjail.
Soph, this isn't "staff abuse" it's just a poorly chosen punishment.
Also, jail shouldn't be used as punishment. It's intended to be used so we can talk to people who are rule breakers. I only jail for extended periods of time if someone is offline and I don't know when they will next be on, I always unjail or give a followup punishment if they deserve it after the talk.

We decided a better punishment because she repeatedly changes it to katie's nickname even after told multiple times not to. It's a fairly short punishment considering all her other offenses, one of which is impersonation.

Exactly. I figured if she didn't want to abide to the rules even after being told not to impersonate and having her nickname taken away twice that we would be forced to give her some type of punishment to enforce the rules. It's quite a small punishment but hopefully it shows her that impersonation is against the rules.
