I have heard many different answers and since the wood debate got heated I would love everyone to bring forth their idea of what the perfect Minecraft block is and what evidence you have to support it.

Also, potentially controversial opinion: regular brick blocks look amazing after the re-textures, if used right they can look great. Maybe not my #1, but it's up there. The same goes for end stone bricks, they're hard to get right, but can look good if done well.
Oh, and grass blocks, but only in jungles or roofed forests.

Cyan Wool is only good for what? Planning? And there are better wools for that, ones that are much easier to see. And again I don't see Cyan Wool in any of your builds when they're finished. If it was truly the best you would see it more in the finished product.

Without net.minecraft.block.Block, Minecraft itself is nothing.
