Title: How do you get HD texture packs to work

Can someone please help guide me through this? I am a noob when it comes to MC stuff.

i tend to use optifine, as it has more then just the patcher.

basically u can use the magic program thingie to install it (tho it never works for me)
or u can do the manual install. u need winrar or 7zip, and u just open the zip file download, copy it all out, and then open the minecraft.jar in the bin folder and paste it. u also need to delete the META-INF folder.

abit long winded, but imo its worth it

Download and install Optifine: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-132-optifine-hd-b3-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-much-more/

Install Modloader first if you use other mods: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-v132-risugamis-mods-preliminary-updates/

Run Minecraft and select your HD texture pack. Done.
