The History of Socrates

This is a history focused more about the nation of Socrates but has a lot of stuff about me and my dad in it and some generally server history in it if you'dl like to take a glance or tell me if I need to fix any errors. The dates probably aren't 100% correct but I tried to figure them out the best I could.
Era 1: 2017-2018
The original town of Socrates, for which the Province gets its name, was founded by two members primarily. A father and son pair of Spaceparticles and TheodoreGreen, then Theologist_Green, respectively. The two had played on two servers in the past. Notably called MySunland where in another town of Socrates was named and the original premise for naming towns after philosophers arose. They had played on this server from between 2013-2016 rougely. Between this they had tried another called EndlessMC where they decided to move to Villagecraft after being discontent with the state of that server.
Socrates’s build style was very noobish. Spaceparticles would focus on walls, castle structures, and towers. He would place largely a passive role in the politics of the server that were present of the time. TheodoreGreen would build, recruit, and structure the first Concordat which would be the name for the government document of the nation going into the future. It should be noted that the first Concordat acts partly as an internal document within the House itself so while its defunct it still holds some relevance.
The first view Concordats were inspired heavily by the early Greek ideals of a philosopher king but also John Locke’s idea of the Social Contract. The first concordat would also outline what would become the Royal House of Particles which every blood member of Spaceparticles would be a part of but also honorary members bought into the fold of the family by platonic or romantic connections.
Some of the notable first people recruited who would help shape Socrates would be Sky_Chao and Awesomebuilder. Both who sense have stopped playing. The former was made a Princess of the house, the latter was a builder for a large part of the 4-Squares part of Socrates. Cookiemama was also an earily member and would be important for showing the ropes of building to Theodore. Loganrules115 would found Loganshire south of Socrates and the town would be bought up by a project largely funded by TheodoreGreen where outside members came to construct the town instantly over the course of a day. Loganshire currently has issues with socialist control over the town however has been occupied under Provinci control to maintain order.
Another important part of this time was Socrates joining the political landscape that was at its peak during this time. Socrates would choose to join the CFG for having made a good impression on TheodoreGreen when he first went onto the server. The CFG, known as the Caerulian-Gentibus Federation, however was in its later years having lost most of its activity due to its conflicts with the Empire of Gere which was at the time the largest nation on the server. Socrates would choose to be an autonomous part of the nation.
Another important part of Socrates that was founded back all the way in 2013 was the Agourist Faith. While it had no formal name back in the day. It was established on MySunland in the founding holy city of Tiny Town. It has evolved and changed a lot over the years and has a plethora of stories, lore, and theories about the metaphysics and theology of minecraft. It acts mostly as the basis for what the headcanon of a universal theology and metaphysics for multiplayer minecraft could be in roleplay considering the ideas of immorality (respawning) and staff (ascension). Most of the tales and stories vague memories and stories of TheodoreGreens pastimes on MySunland which have since morphed over growing onto into sedo-mythological folktales which listens about godhood, the consequences of immortality, and growth. The only formal member is the High Priest TheodoreGreen however the ideas of Agourist, though not known by name, as known by some on the server due to Theodores propensity to worship staff as gods in roleplay.
Era 2- 2018-2019
After a small few month long break Spaceparticles and TheodoreGreen returned to the server. Hoping to start a new project they had decided to focus on building on Gentibus. They founded the cities of Azimov, named after famed science fiction author, and Bradington, named after Spaceparticles, which served to be closer to the CGF core. While the CGF would not ever formally dissolve Socrates would up its mantle and during this time would make a moderate effort to expand around Gentibus in order to secure its old land.
A new capital would be constructed which would be known as New Socrates and would be much more planned then the original. A road system would be made to connect Azimov, Bradington and then come up the core of New Socrates and thus through the heart of Gentibus. The town of Eudaimonia, a former CGF town, would be bought and taken control of by the Prince PBS, brother of TheodoreGreen. TheodoreGreen had ambitious to take control of the whole central continent with a super-region that would encompass Bradington, Azimov, New Socrates, Eudaimonia, and what should have Ludaeria, controlled by Brutalfive, refused to sell or give co-ownership of the former CGF town to Socrates which made the greatest extent of the super region impossible. While the super region would be made with the approval of the new Concordat by staff which can be found here: tinyurl.com/soc-con-2. What should be of note is the move towards less flowery language. While it still exists it was reduced in order to make more sense. In addition in this era more and more responsibility was put on TheodoreGreen to control the aspects of the town and now nation while King Particles was merely a figurehead.
What is probably the largest project done by Socrates to date is the Grand Palace of Socrates which sits upon the lone hill that sits in the middle of the plains within Gentibus. It's a multilevel Palace with a throne room, now Committee Hall, dining room, kitchen, several rooms, a barracks, hidden rooms, an auto smelter, bedrooms, an enchantment room, and many others. The castle is still being expanded and reworked as well and since the overthrow of the King the Grand Palace of Socrates has become the Grand Palace of the People.
During this time Socrates would take part in the short-lived Villagecraft Union, a UN-like organization that tried to bring the towns of the server together in peace. Theodore and many of the other members of Socrates would take part in the politics of Gere since it was so large it became a law within itself that it would allow non-citizen members to vote in elections since their policies impacted the server that much. TheodoreGreen would flip flop between parties often not really choosing a side.
A Princess of the House of Particles Sun would become active on the server and team up and marry Duchess Katie of Seatown where they co-ruled as Duchess over the modern island nation. Katie and Sun would implement democracy in the town which Theodore and others would also take part in however, later in Seatowns live it became apparent that it was faltering due to the emerging nation of Istrana’s guaranteed majority over there legislature but also Katie’s growing inactivity.
In the later half of this time. Gere would dissolve itself. To Theodore this seemingly was overnight and it's still unclear what happened ruling as TheodoreGreen wasn’t active during that time. Also during this ending of an era it seemed that the politics on the server had mostly died out. However TheodoreGreen had been plotting something against his father.
Era 3- 2019-2021
TheodoreGreen over the years had cemented his ideology within the Left. And had taken ques from the Socialist Republic of Istrana and plotted against his father. He overthrew him and declared himself Chairmen of the new Socialist State of Socrates which was largely inactive. The takeover was largely non-hostile. Spaceparticles didn’t really care all too much.
Theodore took part in Istrana’s election as a citizen. And thus had grown quite fond of their government. Over the course of two treaties, not alliance, then later a complete annexation by Istrana; Socrates had joined Istrana for good as a Province. TheodoreGreen would found the largely inactive Syndicalist Party within Istrana and would serve as President of Istrana for a term. Istrana has since been the last form of politics on the server and even now has been drained of it.
The current state of things is that Socrates is largely inactive, same with its Church, and its Royal House. Things can always change though.
