Hello VillageCrafters 

If I am elected as Community Minister, I promise to combine my group efforts and passion for art to create cool new items, seasonal events, and will try my best to revive past event efforts with the help of anyone who wants to contribute. The season for Halloween is approaching, and I am beyond excited to start new events for the fall. My only goal is to get players back on the server, new and old, and make sure there is always something exciting to look forward to!

I already have new ideas for update-related events that have not been explored yet, new build competitions with seasonal themes and fun prizes, and events where everyone can participate and receive rewards. Trick or treating is a MUST!!!!!!

VillageCraft has quite a few talented artists and I hope to get them involved in designing cool trophies/weapons/items for in-game use. Nothing has made me more sad than not seeing many people on and I genuinely want to try my best in getting players back online and keep this unique community alive.

As someone who is always filled with ideas and has a lot of free time, I think I would make a worthwhile CM for this election. That being said, I wish everyone luck in the election and regardless of the outcome I am excited to see what events will unfold.

I feel like with the new update, we should be bumping this again and gets some new ads going. I've been noticing quite a few more new players joining recently and I want to see more :^D I feel bad for the new players that join to find a dead server with nobody on.

I think that allowing players /fly whenever they want with a "permit" or allowing them to have fly whenever they're in a village can be misused easily. Although players may be punished for using this during PvP there are also other issues as Myst mentioned such as exploring areas with fly - this would be hard to keep track of.

What I initially proposed is not much different than what we have now, but I wanted to create more "guidelines" as to when players & staff should be using fly.
Ex: Not using fly for farms, using fly for builds in the air, etc.

I'm spitballin:

If we go thru with this, I more or less think that someone granted fly should need to specifically agree to some standardized wording that says they will not build any industrialized autofarm/spawner device, not engage in pvp, and understand that their fly ability is intended as a building tool in their agreed upon region for their build.

The Staff member(s) granting this should then be required to log it; "Gave Daypath /fly for village build in Skystar-McMansion region".

I also wonder if we should be offering this tool to Villages of a certain tier or not? That way it could already be established, there's proof of concept, and thus the Staff member goes "yeah, I see what you got goin here, this build would def be helped with a lil /fly"

I think that having some guidelines is a great idea, as well as requiring staff to log it each time. But that is also a system based on trust and every staff member (even the more inactive ones) would have to acknowledge and apply any time they are asked. I can see favoritism happening in these instances as well.

I think that having those guidelines in place would make a great gateway to regulating /fly if it was able to be auto logged. It feel like (to me) the biggest issue is how hard it is to keep track of it's use.

I'm not sure if it's possible, but would we be able to have log block show whether or not something was built with/without fly or whatever gamemode the player is in? Or at least something in that ballpark, like automatically logging the time frame each player uses it. Again, don't know how all of that works so I'm also just spitballing.

Hello fellow VillageCrafters,

For those who don’t know, multiple others and I are currently working on a very big project; a museum dedicated to player heads and the community surrounding them. As much as I want to claim all the glory, the amount of heads I have collected and plan to put up could not have been possible without the support of others. Many have been gifted, donated, sold, or found by so many people and I am beyond thankful to everyone who has helped me. The museum itself is still a huge work in progress, though it is progressing pretty fast thanks to all those who spending their own free time just to help.

My collection has gone beyond just being a collection, and it feels more like a community effort that I even have as many as I do.

My museum will never truly be completed, as the history of this server is still ongoing and some players never left a trace of their existence; but that still won’t stop me from wanting to keep as much of it preserved as I can. Even though I haven’t been here long enough to have seen even half of it, I know it still means a lot to so many and the most fun I have on VC is learning about it all. To anyone who is willing to help with ideas, suggestions, building, requests, donations (and non-donations, as I’m still willing to pay a pretty penny for any heads tossed my way), or even just moral support, please shoot me a message! Anything will be greatly appreciated and deeply valued.

As far as the museum goes, there will be a room dedicated to all the help I have received. Those who have helped with planning, ideas and building, head donors, etc. will either have statues set up or names put on the contributor walls. As stated in my previous Discord comment as well, if anyone is willing to build a memorial for a lost friend at the museum I am welcoming that as well. Everyone deserves to be remembered, and everyone will be remembered here.

Not only do I agree, but I would also like to add that I don't enjoy the fact that staff can use fly to build their farms. Whether that is supposedly allowed or not, I have seen it happen and I don't feel like that is fair to the average player. It can just be used whenever for staff and there is no real regulation that I can see as a regular player. Staff favoritism is real and doesn't mix well with the trust system.

Same goes for creative mode, which can be given out freely and expensive blocks can be used for personal staff builds. I just personally find that unfair, but if I'm wrong or off about anything please let me know :-)

The Christmas Song, specifically sung by Anuc Atittawan. Despite his language barrier and all the memes people have made, he has a beautiful singing voice and I like it better than any other version I’ve heard. I’m not one to enjoy Christmas music very much but I thoroughly enjoy his cover every time it blesses my ears.

Hello fellow VillageCrafters, Staffers, and Guests of the forums,



My name is FroggyBee and I am here to convince all of the VillageCraft staff as to why I should have Llamas added to my forums account. I think that I have enough experience on the forums, as well as the server to be able to handle any amount of llamas handed my way. I will be listing off multiple points, as well as citing my sources. I hope you all appreciate my efforts and consider passing some llamas into account.

My first point I would like to make is how active I am on the server itself. I attend the majority of events that have been hosted in the past year or so. For example, I have participated in a few buildcomps, as well as the Winter/Wizard themed one that is currently being held (as of Dec. 5th 2023). Even though I have not won any of the build competitions, I still added my pieces and participated for the fun. I have also assisted in a few events, and helped to decorate parts of Qualia as well. I actively build in villages, assist newer players in their endeavors, and try to up tiers in villages that I own.

My second point as to why I think I should have some llamas added to my forums account is because I have 14 posts (15 including this one) on the forums. My other peers have less posts than me, and they still have llamas added to their account. For example, GuessKero, my lovely wife, has 4 posts, and she has 3 llamas on her profile(1). Kittypopping also only has 6 posts, and she has one on her profile(2). That being said, I still have none. Other legacy players like CRH244 -also known as CeeCee, have many posts, yet they only have one(3). I think that the system of handing out llamas has fluctuated over time. We deserve change and more fairness to who gets these llamas added to their pens.

My third point is that I have begged the owner himself and still have not received any. The only thing I have heard about getting them is if I beg staff, and I have done so(4). The only other ways I have seen explained have either been untrue, or only a joke. I think that my hard work in groveling, researching on the forums, begging on my hands and knees, hands covered in dirt and soot from cleaning the boots of my superiors would prove me worthy to have llamas added to my profile’s llama pen.

My final reason as to why I think I should have llamas added to my profile is that I am very responsible and love to care for them. I have taken care of many llamas on the server, as well built numerous homes for them. One great example is the giant llama pen me and MysteriousKing worked on at Lilac Lake. Though trader llamas don’t count, as I murder them on sight, the normal llamas on VillageCraft have been beloved creatures that I care deeply for. I keep my llama pen on the forums clean and tidy, as they are ready for new editions every day. Please give me llamas.

Wasn't this already talked about months ago? You never had a rule in the village that builds had to be approved at the time, and there isn't anything wrong with world editing if it was paid for, which to my knowledge it was (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, someone). The only thing I think you could get them on is the TNT, which was already discussed by staff when the incident first happened, I'm not sure why you've decided to bring it up again.

Seeing as it was talked about months ago and there was nothing done about it is the reason this was brought up again. I'm not even here to talk about the catacombs because I was also a part of it, but the TNT incident was clearly staff abuse and you all know it. And I have proof and witnesses of that event if need be. What happened, happened. But I know for a fact some people were shitting their pants about this in your side server at some point because they knew what they did was wrong, and now it just seems like you're upset that we're trying to not let it get swept under the rug.

In response to Shen, yes CRH was a village member and it is stated frequently in global chat that all PvP is no keeps in the village. He killed waffles right outside of the village bounds and took all of his stuff and that’s fair game. Only one item was stolen from waffles in the castle courtyard. I only responded to this post because it had to do with village rules at a place I regulate and I wanted to make a few things clear.

Waffles did break the rules that were in place at the time and we will deal with that. That is something we can talk to him about and make sure that rules in place won't be broken again. The rules that were on the board were changed every so often, but nothing in our rule book about PvP has been changed since this happened. I'm not trying to deny that there was a rule on the board saying that PvP has to have consent from both parties, but it's really hard to regulate everything everyone does in a village this big and with so many people who hang around all the time. Nobody else who started PvP in Ambrose without consent from the other party was punished because majority of the time it's not a problem.
That being said, two wrongs don't make a right and if there was really an issue with the non consensual PvP, you should have messaged a village owner. I do know that you were consulted with the person involved before this was posted and still refused to return the one item that was obtained through PvP inside the Ambrose limits. I'm trying to be very clear and consistent on our village rules and I would have rather this had been sorted out in game rather than here.

In response to what CRH said, the rules on our rule board were a bit wonky and I logged on today to see they had been removed. I know some people placed some rules up there that were jokes, like the "killing royalty is encouraged" sign. (which is technically against the rules, but everyone does it anyways and no harm is really done)
But in our rule book that we have had up next to the board, the first rule stated is "1. PVP in Ambrose is allowed to an extent. No excessive killing is allowed unless the other party is okay with it."
This applies to excessive killing, like repeated killing or PvP matches were they kill each other often. It is very hard to regulate who is consenting for PvP when there is always so many people at the castle and so many people who like to just jump in and start killing each other.
The second rule in our rule book states "2. ALL PVP IS NO KEEPS! ANY items kept from PVP without permission is considered theft and against VC rules." I know our rules are confusing and not well put together, but the #1 rule that we make VERY clear is that any PvP that happens in Ambrose is no keeps. If you are added as a member in Ambrose, it is expected that you understand that just being there is an automatic no keeps PvP agreement.
I have been trying to consistently add rules into the rule book to make things more clear for village members, and I did add a sign next to the rule board to read the rule book for a more specific explanation of the rules. We have PvP turned on for a reason, and it's to have fun. If you don't want no keeps PvP, or no PvP at all, don't come to Ambrose.
I also try to encourage everyone in Ambrose to read the rules beforehand.

I think my favorite memory as of late is when me and Myst went to visit Tina at Lotus, and we tried to see how many times we could add a letter to her cat Alice's name with a nametag before she noticed. I ended up getting caught, but in the end her name had somehow completely changed to Poopy Fart. I don't think I've ever laughed that hard on VC before.

Hello!
I am FroggyBee and I am running for CM :O !!!
My promise for this campaign is to help out new players, along with not so new players.
I want to start hosting little mini games, like more treasure hunts or hide and seek.
I also want to help the Village Craft economy get better and stop these riots!
Lastly, I want to try and better our community (not that it isn't already amazing) to be a more wholesome and friendly place!
Village Craft is very important to me and I want to thank you for all of the support I have received these past months and for all of the friendships I have made!
