Theo was a good friend to many of us. May he be survived in the great memories we had with him.

Rest in Peace Theo

Parliament | Suggestions / Re: ELECTION: 2nd Community Minister
« on: 22 February 2017, 09:33:46 PM »
I have been around VillageCraft for 17 years now. In all my time since the beginning and enormous amount of activity I have NEVER seen a better candidate for the extremely important position of 2nd Community Minister. I would say they even have potential to be the next underground Supreme Overlord. Though I believe a firm dictatorship and that an immediate promotion would be the best option here, I will let the illusion of democracy take place - as it does in real life.

The option is clear, and with 3 days left in this vote I urge all members to vote for the only true candidate in this election - or ban. That candidate is Tsunkiji, the only non-corrupt option.

Long live VC and may the blocks fall forever in your favour.

See you next "vote" :)

It is down due to some rather serious chunk error. The technician working on it was making progress last time I heard.

How are those games? It's tempting because its a savings of 170 bucks or so. I'm defs looking for some games to put in my bored reserves, however I don't want to buy a ton of games I'll never play.

This is the first I've heard of this. Anyone else have this issue?

I think the tunnel is a much better way. Most people, especially those who join and leave soon after, don't have the patience to read a giant wall of things they can't do.

I'm guessing most people who leave are looking for different kinds of servers. And like you guys said, we don't want the kind of people who don't have time to read a couple rules on the server. We tell them to go to /warp help as well for a wall of rules.

One problem I will agree with is that most people don't know where to build and will sometimes go outside the immediate area of qualia, and because they can build there, will grief or make ugly ass villages on the borderland. To prevent this, perhaps we need to offer more rewards for existing villages to recruit these new members and kind of show them the ropes.

I agree that this is definitely an issue. I'm not sure when the next showcase update will be but hopefully soon. If not, Iconomy it is. A parliament vote is needed indeed.

WARNING: TOPIC DERAILMENT AHEAD!

If you have an XBOX 360, I suggest getting Catan from XBLA. Very good representation of the board game and multiplayer support. If you do, let me know, no one I know plays it at all.

PS3 dude! I've tried a few online Catans but it's not the same.

Know that if Ako, Bl4ck, and I hadn't been getting drunk and playing Catan (cool board game), we would've helped too.

So thanks to all our staff who allow us to take days off without worry that the server is in danger.

Believe it or not, but there's many guys who buy a 24 a day.

Though you fucked up royally many times, think of this as a learning experience. At least you fucked up in a semi-meaningless game and didn't overdose on cocaine or kill somebody or something.

So farewell Rainy, best of luck in your future endeavours.

p.s: Don't just say your Martin Luther King Jr. quotes, live by them.

Just a collection of some little things that I find strange about people.

1) When we have 15 bottles on sale for the price of 12 and they demand 12. Even if we don't have them in stock for the obvious reason of no one would normally buy that unless: insane, mentally retarded, their wife would beat them, they're too weak to carry 3 extra beers, they feel it's some kind of conspiracy, or they don't have enough discipline to stop themselves from drinking 15 in one day. Nevertheless, we actually get people who, no matter what, won't take the 15.

2) There's a few people who do this next thing, and it's really quite funny because I don't think they realize they do. They come in and stare at our wall of selection for about 5 minutes every time they come in but they always get the same shit beer every time. Never fails. It's just routine now. Maybe they're just too fucking stupid to remember the name of their brand.

3) Which leads to this: people who are too fucking stupid to remember the name of their brand. There's one guy in particular that stands out. He gets 24 Laker Red almost every day. He seems intelligent enough, yet every time he comes in he's always at a loss for words at what his beer is called. It's called Laker RED, you know, like the colour of the god damn case. How hard is that to remember when you're staring at that fucking case and 24 bottles of it every day.

This job proves my Einstein quote better than he proved his theories.

It's just a list of equations formulating the last equation that looks something like the divergence of H = 0, which reminds me of Maxwell's equations of EM waves and might actually be relevant to this topic, suprisingly. Though that's just my take on that mess without knowing what any of those equations mean, beyond a guess.

Never mention the Cleveland Show again or ban.

From this day forward it will be edited from the forums and censored for being so bad.

One bright sunny glorious day at The Beer Store all the happy employees were frolicking in the store serving all the happy alcoholics in my fine town.

When suddenly an evil man, most likely named Ganondorf or No-Heart, entered the store. He proceeded to bring in about a dozen 24's of empty bottles. This is normally fine, and the happy bunny workers all hop along sorting and stacking cases. Though this time it was not quite as comforting.

The evil man brought in the most vile cases ever seen to man, or merman.

But one case stood out - one case whose wretchedness echoed throughout the store (and possibly our local Galaxy) like the diarrhea of an elephant. It was a case of James Ready (a brand sold in Ontario). It was so vile and so gut-wrenchingly stenchy that everyone in the store immediately gagged like Sasha Grey the moment the case entered the store. The other cases were bad - but this case was so bad we didn't even look in it; scared that the Pandora's Box of anal fecal matter might errupt into a volcano of filth capable of destroying our town.

I was the brave soul that sacrificed many nose cilia and brain cells that day and valiantly carried the potential dooms day device out the back door. As the town rejoiced in happiness, and I was rewarded with the highest honour possible, I still wonder what demons may have concealed themselves in that case... and they will surely haunt my dreams for eternity.
