General Discussion / Goodbye Villagey-craft
« on: 10 May 2012, 09:47:25 PM »
I am leaving villagecraft for what will likely be permanently.

I give Gallifrey over to Akomine to do with as you please. Please give it to someone who deserves it and will open it as a village. Airborne, it is not your mancave. Give it to the server as a surviving village please >>.

I put alot of hard work, and LOVE into Gallifrey, and I'd love for it to be treated with love.

I gave alot of going away presents, namely 125k$ to the only newb who answered me on the server: rainy_turtle..something like that..and some diamonds and silk touched red mushroom cubes. By newb, I mean someone I haven't met.

I put a box in the admin office full of great stuff to give away for contests etc. Whatever you want to give them away for. Those picks are enchanted. One is silk touch, fortune and efficiency? I think. or unbreaking. whatever. One is def a silk touch though. The record is Cat I think. Posting this pic so someone doesn't go in and loot before Akomine has time to give it to a deserving someone.

And shoved a ton of coal, iron ingots, crafting tables, beds, torches, melons, bread, etc into the beginner chest. Happy birthday whoever opens that sucker next LMAO. All of it in the pic accept the helmet and bows:

I loved my run in village craft, and I'll miss ya guys. But I have other stuff I'd like to attend to, and I'm helping a friend on his server on the rare occassions I actually get on.

GOOD LUCK GUYS! BYEEE

Hmmm..enchantview would be perfectly fine for me as well. Yes.

I just want something to keep from wasting half a day trying to get good enchants on equipment just to lose them.

I love building large things on minecraft, and using enchanted weapons is a huge help. However, as is inevitable they break, and I can't find anyone selling another one like it.  Thus, I am forced to put off all building, and afk grind at mob spawners/etc till I can get enough exp and luck to get a similar enchant again, which wastes a few real life days i could be building pretty things.

My question is: Could we get a mod that allows the repair of tools, primarily enchanted items, like a blacksmith mod or some of the repair shop type mods.

I would happily pay money/materials/ or exp to repair my favorite enchanted gear instead of watching it snap and poof away into nothingness.

Some mods I have heard about that have been updated this year are;

RepairShop: http://www.curse.com/server-mods/minecraft/repairshop#t1:description
RepairDispenser: http://www.curse.com/server-mods/minecraft/repairdispenser

I have not tried them out as I do not own my own server, so I do not know how well they work. But I beg you, pleeeaaase consider a mod that supports enchanted item repair.

I took me 3 weeks to finally get a looting/unbreakable/efficiency pick, and even longer to get a silk touch tool.

This would make it painful for people making jungle tree houses and such I imagine.

*griefer hits your tree your house is in*

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

You now have a levitating house, possibly missing a floor if you want super natural with your design lol.

I imagine it has something to do with water damaging Endermen?

So, water everywhere = no endermen to punch you in the nutz. :D

Soo...I made an entire mechanized tower, with moving platforms and the like, just before the first post.

Then I lagged out...and now..THE ENTIRE  TOWER IS GONE.

Everything...3 hours of work gone....

I..I don't think I'll be online till this gets resolved. No point if my stuff disappears..lol..

See you guys later I guess.

General Discussion / Unusual amount of lag
« on: 8 March 2012, 05:15:48 PM »
So recently I've been lagging to the point of disconnects. Is something going on with the server?

I've had blocks coming back from beyond the grave, monsters resurrecting, warp backs, and at one unfortunate time, actually had blocks I dug out respawn and bury me alive.

Is anyone else having these issues? Because it's hard to make progress when it's acting up like this.

I vote yes, but the price is kinda...horrifying.

Ugh, looks like hours of sheep shearing are in my future D:

Monster repel, do want.

While 1.2 offers a chance for people to make Iron Golems to wail on hostile mobs, I would prefer for them never to be there at all.  Lemon and my current project includes wide, open grounds, and I would like for them to be safe at all times of  the day.

« on: 29 February 2012, 07:19:05 PM »
I like this idea.

This will force them, if they want guaranteed protection, to live in an existing village, and who knows, maybe even meet some people.

They can then base their operations from there. They can use it as a guaranteed /home and a safeplace.  Gives them a sense of security, encourages existing villages to grow, AND they will be safe long enough to acquire nicer materials than simple wood planks, dirt, spit and twigs.

I would like to submit myself for MP of Cascade..I guess that's how it's said...crud I dunno lol.

We now have five villagers, Lemoncookies, Furtuim, Steelberzerker, Knitefall, and myself.

Today we sold both rooms of the First House to Knitefall :D

We had a cake party, melons and freshly baked bread for all in celebration  ;D

3 More houses, and two pub rooms as well, just contact me or Lemoncookies here or in game~

Cascade was, except the pub, designed by Lemoncookies, so any props are to her.

I just hope the cats aren't as needy as the ones in mo' creatures mod.that would be one major pain in the ass trying to get a cat down from a fucking tree

Nah, from what I gather, they have similar AI to tamed wolves. So, they follow, sit, chase aggro monsters and instead of sheep, kill chickens.

Thinking of starting to make custom texture packs that are a collaboration of other texture packs:

so, not my own, but collaboration of others. Emphasis on the "I'm too lazy to make my own, but like bits and pieces of others yes :)" part.

I especially want to do this so my village can have it's own "best fit" texture pack.

hahahah..no. No thank you. Do not want to be safe in my house, and then get killed in bed.

It's already limiting enough to not be able to work outside at night because of creeper explosions, i don't want to have to make piston doors as well in both my villages.

Saaame~ It comes in spurts though. It's not all the time for me. There was an awful bit of it earlier though, constant disconnects for about half an hour.

I wish they wouldn't change the look.

You can probably find or edit a texture pack so that they don't change appearance ya know.

Update 2/16/2012:

Besides the info booth and 3 pieces in the general store, to our knowledge, Cascade is officially finished.

Suggested Texture pack to see the village like we do:

Link for texture pack:  http://minecraftcustomizer.net/pack/Steelfeathers%20Enchanted/

Steelfeather's Enchanted Pack [Already 1.2 compatible I believe]

I have to wait till Lemoncookies gets online to set up pricing of the rooms.

House Pricing as of last talking to Lemoncookies:
Pub rooms:
Large: 50$
Small: 20$
Houses:
Not discussed with Lemon Yet

I will sell the houses when Lemoncookies gets back on so I can let her know :)

We are currently building a new project, so we may change pricing on the buildings there at a later time.

My favorite texture packs are by Steelfeathers.

Linky to the archive~
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/537343-list-steelfeathers-texture-pack-archive/

She/he usually keeps them updated, and they are quite lovely.
I believe the new texture packs she has are already updated to be compatible with the 1.2 update as well :)

I am currently using Steelfeathers' Enchanted pack, but i need to make a point to try out the Feathersong pack in the near future.

Enchanted Pack [Requires using the HD texture patch found on the page]

Feathersong

The ones I use gives glowstone a lovely lamp-like
texture and texture the wool to make wool wallpaper look outstanding.
