Can I help out?
« on: 21 February 2013, 10:16:47 PM »
I was wondering if I could help out in any way.  Is it possible for me to check on griefs when PRs or Moderators are AFK, busy, or offline.  Also can I help out in the "Reports or Grievances" section if the PRs or Moderators are AFK, busy, or offline?  I would be glad to be trained in the arts of being a PR. As always I am your humble servant and await your reply.

Signed,

Nah, I kid. You will have to talk to the staff about helping out around the server :P Personally, I would have gone to the staff in a private message with this, but whatever.

Personally, as a PR, I really don't think we need help.

I'm almost always on Skype if a PR is needed and can get on VC any time I'm called, and the few times I'm unavailable, Kovos is available to step in.

Plus, right now, PRs are limited to staff abuse cases. We don't do much with reports about griefs because the staff handle that now. Seeing as the only "staff abuse" I've heard of was Sax not really getting Air's humor and feeling the need to report his joking, we're basically just there to look pretty [and boy, do Kovos and I have that covered ;) ]

We're very grateful for you wanting to help, don't get me wrong. It's very nice to you to offer. But for right now, I'm thinking that the best way for you to help out is to keep following the rules, offer help to new people who ask questions, and just continue being a great player :)

That's not really necessary. Everyone has access to logblock, so they can find out who did what themselves. A staff member will still need to check it out and determine what action (If any) is needed.

You wanting to help is greatly appreciated! Keep on being an awesome player and help others whenever you can/want to. And don't forget to have fun yourself. ;)

I'm pretty sure I already explained this: Kovos and I have it covered.

I think rune's recommendation to keep on being a good person and a good player, and to help other players, is a great way to help out. :)
