PARLIAMENT VOTE #02
An Act to Allow Villages to Buy "Monster Repellant"

If this act passes: village owners/members may pool their money and buy Monster Repellant for a region within, or the entire territory of their village. Monsters will not be able to spawn within the repellant region. This luxury will be available for $100,000 VC dollars.

Update: Village owners can now transfer Repellant from one village to another for $20,000 VC dollars.

This vote will run until about 9:00 PM, Sunday March 4th, 2012 (Eastern Standard Time). 96 hours Total.
All Members of Parliament may vote.
For the act to be valid, a quorum of at least 50% of all MPs must vote (abstaining counts as voting).
The quorum is 9 votes.
For the act to pass, a majority of voting MPs must vote in favour.

100K is a bit steep.. Good idea, But the smaller villages will never be able to afford this.

the price isn't that high.... and it is a luxury! You don't need this in your village by any means.

If your village has 5 ppl a part of it that is only 20k a person. Also after you buy it you could use it as a selling point to get more ppl into your village charging more per house/room or just attracting more ppl. If you have an amazing village and can get 10-15 ppl to chip in then it is only 10-7k a person and would make the village that much better.

Every village should not have this. Only those villages with a large "community" or ran by a wealth owner(s). I have the money to buy this but don't think i will even if it passes because i don't think it is necessary. However if when my village is done and there are 10-20 ppl a part of it and they all want it/chip in why not?

We just need to get more ppl onto the server and into villages (this might help with that) to make it easy for nice villages to get.

(I know i am not a MP but i feel it should be ok for me to add my input as well as other non MPs that way we might show you MPs other sides of the matter and maybe let you see wut is being voted on in another light. Besides... I think this one passed already lol)

Oh and also... after we update to 1.2 i think we might be able to make iron golems to protect our villages. So we can buy iron golems for like less then $500 :~P

Dark made the points I was going to make. 100k isn't that much once you split it up between people. Also, it is a luxury, and it should be expensive.

Also, yeah Dark, it's cool that you post here, I purposely allowed any forum member to post replies to threads.

I add the part about the posting here to try and let MPs know that night should be giving his input and maybe just t let home he can't actually vote and to tell him to say wut he wishes to happen and maybe why. guess that wasn't internally clear lol... o well... maybe now it is :~p... altho these are sticky/vote thread so i wasn't 100% sure my self... only 98% or so lol

You don't need to buy iron golems you can make them with 4 iron blocks and a pumpkin or you can get a bunch of NPc villagers to auto spawn them in just saying. Lol

I know you can build them... that is where the $500 cost came in... was to lazy to do the math and didn't know how much pumpkins and iron blocks are at the market... So i figured 4 iron blocks and a pumkin was about $500 or so.

I think iron blocks are 90 each with is about... Oh say 360lu a 5 dollar pumpkin thats only 365 to make a iron golem. A lot cheaper to just buy the materials lol

I wasn't saying i was going to sell them >.>... i just didn't know the prices... $500 seemed like a safe number.. I was right you can buy (the parts for) iron golems for less then $500. I just didn't say parts counted it as one whole thing.
