So the real version finally got released and I have been playing it. A lot. Unlike the first one the PC controls are not bad, navigating the UI is a bit of a pain but not too bad. It doesn't seem to have the total bullshit "Oh you just started? Let's try this huge boss that will rape you then!" moments right at the start, but still has plenty of those "Nooooo I lost my souls!" moments that make me really sad.

So having done kendo for a while there is this concept called "maai", which roughly translates a "distance"- the distance (and time) to make a strike, the distance the opponent needs to make a strike. Notice you need to know this in Dark Souls games, which is quite an amazing thing really. If you like tough combat and having to learn how to fight then you will definitely like this game. If you think CoD is amazing then Dark Souls 2 will make you it's bitch, repeatedly, until you leave to cry on yo momma's shoulder.

I'd honestly rather play CoD than Dark Souls
I'd rather reach up my own ass, pull out my still beating heart, and eat it, than play Dark Souls.
The first one was bad, and looked bad, the second one is worse, and the graphics aren't much better.
Sick and tired of seeing all these claims that it's "for hardcore gamers" when it's not, it's for people who think a challenging game is a game where enemies can one hit you if they're a shit load stronger (y'know, just like ANY other fucking game) people compare it to Slyrim, saying Skyrim was too easy, wheras most people who say that probably played on fuckin' Novice.
Fucking fuck Dark Souls, fuck if with the spiky end of a rake.

TL;DR: Dark Spuls is overhyped shit.
