The Community Minister has presented signatures to the Staff for these 2 plugins to receive a Parliament vote.
We need to figure out a few things first.

EggCatcher

Questions:
Which mobs should be catchable?
What should the catch chance be? Should it be different for different mobs?
What should the cost be? Items, money? Should it be different for different mobs?
Anything else?

Gere parl group decided to vote si on eggcatcer.

In my opinion, all mobs should be catchable.

The chance should decrease exponentially depending on the rarity of the mob

A catch should cost money and increase ∝ rarity

Nothing else, in my opinion.

With experience we should set it so that it takes ten to fill and it emptyseems ten after with none of the variability it usually has. Cost is up to you guys but it shouldn't be so much that ten levels breaks the bank for fresh guys

I think having only the first attempt have a cost negates the point in having a catch chance at all. I'm guessing the plugin won't have the capacity to do this, but we'll see.

In my opinion, The catch chance should at a minimum be 75-25 at a very common creature like a chicken and when you get to Evoker and Guardians and such, it should be about 5-95. All mobs (Excluding bosses, of course) should be catchable.
For cost, I think the currency for using this shouldn't be redstone, glowstone, or anything valuable (In a way)/hard to get, but should be mined materials like iron. If not, I believe it should use Sugar, like 5 for common and 30< for Evokers.

As for EXP bottles...
I believe it should hold a maximum (Keyword: Maximum) That at level 0, if you were to use it you would get to halfway through 7. Filling bottles with EXP for storage should cost 2-5 Redstone/Glowstone, and if not that then $12-$30 to fill.

I was thinking of using gold nuggets for EggCatcher. It's a mined material, it has a moderate value (since only nuggets, not ingots), and also provides some value to catching mobs. It's worth noting that there's also a very common ingredient that's always needed: eggs. How's this sound?

For ExpBottles, I appreciate your input. I don't deal with exp much, so all input is useful. Actual resource or dollar values are good to see, thanks.

Also the elder guardians being catchable would allow for sponge farming - a very useful reasourse

No, it would not, once you kill it it is dead and you get the one sponge, your not duping mobs, just capturing them.

Eggs sound good, since it would take a common ingredient plus whatever other ingredient the staff decide we need. It would make it costly to get a lot of eggs + other ingredient, and even then you're not guaranteed a capture. That's a good thing, since it wouldn't allow people to go around nabbing every mob they see.

1) Villagers will spawn in with a different occupation each time, and won't keep trades
2) Villagers will reset all trades even if they do get the same occupation
3) If Villagers WERE capturable, not only would new players (As in Noobs, not new players to the server) kill Villagers, and someone would try and capture them. And as far as I know, from living in an NPC village on Singleplayer, they don't respawn often.
So, yeah, don't let Villagers be capturable. It doesn't pay off.

I have villager eggs from our old plugin, and when we spawned them they were the same as when they were captured, why not villagers?

Catching villagers would allow you to repopulate any town with them, including natural NPC towns where they've been killed off, since you can cause them to breed.

We can make catching villagers more expensive than most other things.



Also, we can delete villager inventory when caught, thoughts?

I'm testing a version of mob catcher on the server and there is some issues that need to be sorted, it is a slightly different mob catching plugin that we found was better.
