Dogs killed in qualia

i was in Qualia with my dogs, and Cileklim decided it would be a good idea to hit one of my dogs.
as a result, they all started to attack him, as dogs tend to do.
he then went and killed off all 10 of the dogs i had around me.
is there any policy on killing others dogs, and how should i act in the future if such an incident occurs?
i have a screenshot of him admitting that he hit the dogs, but he claims it was in self defense. (the forum wont let me upload the screenshot saying the folder is full)
but since we were in Qualia, it had to be him that started the whole problem.
Is there any way i can ask for a reimbursement for training my dogs, and breeding, or do i just have to live with the loss?
i understand in a way his side of the story, so this is more of a game policy question then a grievance.

Well, as far as I know, there has only been one previous incident similar to this and it involved someone killing someone else's dogs after provoking them in a no-PVP area, just as this one. I believe the punishment was a small fine for the damages and the replacement of the wolves by the moderators.

As far as game policy questions go, I would have to say that dogs would be considered property, just as any other item or block you might have in your possession, because it takes time to earn them and once you do find them, they stay with you for essentially forever (provided you feed them properly). I would probably put this pretty close to griefing, actually.

Provided you are absolutely sure he started the fight himself, and you didn't sic them on him or anything of that nature, everything should be in order. Use Photobucket, Imageshack or Imgur to upload the screenshot if you can (imgur doesn't require an account).

Suggested Fine: $500 ($50 for each dog killed)
Suggested Restitution: Replace the dogs.

South, you just need to post a screenshot of him admitting his fault, and we can move things along quickly. Use one of the sites I talked about earlier.
