As VC's activity returns, so too does Istrana's fair hand of governance and prosperity. In going forward, it is better for all citizens of Istrana, and indeed all people of VillageCraft, to establish a thread to contain issues of Istrana and its governance.

In returning to normal VC times, Istrana is long overdue for an election, and so the Chairwoman has called a snap election.

Thus far, Livid has gained the nomination and support of the Socialist Party, the natural ruling party of Istrana.
In addition, Theo has announced his candidacy as an independent candidate running under an anarcho-leftist platform.

Voting will commence sometime on Friday and conclude on Saturday.
I encourage both candidates to post their platforms, as well as any other prospective candidates to notify me ASAP.

The sun is a symbol of Health and Growth. That is why I am here. This realm, Villagecraft, our home and land we play on is reviving hopefully for good and for the better. We as a nation, pre-existing before the fall of Gere -- the fall fo the server -- must take action. We must revitalize, growth and beam like a sun's glorious rays hope, prosperity, and wellbeing on the server. We, the leftists of Istrana, must come together and grant this server hospitality that no other nation before us has given to all. Gere was a corruption guided by good hopes but derailed by the treasonous and vile circumstances of tyranny and greed. Capitalism and among its brethren, the authoritarian state is the catalysts to the feasting of a system that led to the downfall of Gere.

May it shock you that my opponent, Livid, The God of Politics, is, in fact, the corrupted leader of the former Empire of Gere. He himself destroyed the nation, and almost destroy the server. His nomination for the Socialist Party means nothing to me, I only know the values of our great Chairwoman Yvette. She knows the best, I don't think she feels that Livid is best our nation. I speak not for her, but the ideas this great nation was founded on. Livid is turncoat, he falsely spouts the ideals of Leftism. He was a conservative, a major player in the inequality of Gere. He was the leader of the Conservatives can we trust a puppet of greed and past follies? I don't think so. To hear what I have to say.

This nation needs priority within this new Government will arise out of these elections and appointment. We need proactivity, people who can rise up from the abusive of change and make the nation and the server better. I will make legislation to jumpstart activity int he nation, by promoting the nation (and indirectly the server), on boards, forums, and voice chats, such that will grow into a strong more active nation.

Secondly, we must offer through our wealth gained by our great Chairwoman, to help yourself and the people of the server. Firstly I will establish a Commission of Industry, to grow, manage, build, vast industrial Redstone complexes that will extract huge amounts of money for our people. We will firstly get the funds from what we have alliable, then hire whom within our nation or without has the skills to build, then once the farm is built we will the profits and share them through programs to give it to the people while remaining able to retain our influence of the capitalist system that prevails on the server.

Programs that will help our people, will be the providing of Armor, food, homes, blocks, and cash to buy items for there own projects. This will allow our people to do as they wish, while also being free of the burdens of having to maintain a cashflow oneself. The grind would be ulimately eliminated and through proper regulations, we can make sure the all the players are treated fairly, not just socially, but economically where everyone has equal assess to there bounties of the servers wealth.

I will also promote a couple of Constitutional changes that I hope will promote, more Democracy, Freedom of association, and less government rule over the individual.

1. Firstly, I will push for 1/3 fo the all appointed seats electable. Of Course, numbers are of concern, so if it is feasible, we will have elections. I plan on writing a clause to allow for elections under the conditions of activity.

2. Secondly, I will allow for moderate parties to be available to the Republic under the approval of the Chairwoman. We must remember a large portion of the server, is not like us, enlightened, freed from the bigotry of the rest. We must allow for legal parties to form, under which they can respectfully discuss with us allowing for the peaceful change and debate of policies which hopefully will ultimately prove yourself to them as people to respect, work with, and perhaps change there views to align to the lies of Leftism. However this doesn't main that hateful and violent redone will be acceptable, parties will have to accepted by the Chairwoman.

3. Thirdly, I hope to offer Government Jobs, to the populous of the server. This will offer purple and reason to play, as well as benefits that will promote the fair behavior, and ethical workers right outside of the town, by offering competitive and fair working conditions to combat manipulative practices elsewhere, where ever they may be.

As an Anarchist I plan on promoting growth without residents. I will make a fund to allow for new groups to leave and founds there own Communes/Coops which will be run democratically, and autonomously where they can work together with help from the Captial and most important learn the value of growth of oneself through learning the practices of the skills needed to play Minecraft.

Voting has closed now.
Turnout was lower than past elections on VC, but I presume this is because activity is only just returning, and in future elections it will be higher - as well as longer campaign seasons allowing more awareness.

Theo received 66% of the vote. Livid received 33% of the vote.

I congratulate both candidates on their campaigns, and congratulate Theo on his victory.

A few changes in Commisars have been made going into this new administration.

Ashur has been removed from his position as Commisar owing to the lack of activity from him.

Cyphur and Livid have been appointed as new Commisars going forward.

It is also worth noting there are still open Commisar seats for citizens or members of VC who want to get involved in Istrana's political process!

So this is a bill I wrote. Billl 2.1 (Session 2, Bill 1).  This is about the Commission of Industry, which will be a decentrialzed workered which will serve Istrana. It will nationalized/collective the industrial companies of Northern Star Industries.

It's worth noting that Bill 2.1 passed with a unanimous approval from the Politburo.

In respects to that, Northern Star Industries has merged with Istrana's state owned industries, under the larger umbrella organisation of Istrana Industries.

At this point, Istrana Industries possesses a Gold Farm, a Guardian Farm, and is looking into either building or acquiring a Pumpkin Farm.
Additionally, Istrana Industries has absorbed Northern Star Daily - Now merged into Istrana Entertainment, Northern Star Academies - Now known as the Central Bureau of Education, Northern Star Industries - Now merged into Istrana Entertainment, Northern Star General Stores - Now known as Istrana Shopping Centres, Northern Star Real Estate - Now merged into the Istrana Committee on Housing, and Northern Star Food Group - Now merged into Istrana Shopping Centres

Additionally, the full merger of Northern Star Bank as the new Istrana Central Bank has finished.
In pure reserves, the bank holds $11.4 million dollars - and in addition, customers store $1.3 million dollars in their accounts, accumulating interest.
The new banner Istrana Industries uses is an adaptation of the former banner used by Northern Star Industries.

November Istrana Update

Istrana has been steady. In the last months, the territories of Kuyuchi, Snoopyton and Farmguild have been added to our Socialist Republic. Farmguild's former name was restored, eliminating the strange Francophobic erasure by former Gere officials. Snoopyton was annexed with the consent of former leader JPOJR, to ensure its security. Kuyuchi was annexed as it was a previous threat to the Republic, and we have eliminated that threat for the security of our citizens.

A 5 year plan has been implemented. It is only a 5 year plan in name, and in practice, it is more a plan of development, coming to Istrana and it's territory. It is as follows.

Istrana

- Restore and stock the storefronts
- Plan and develop the remaining "Blank" areas in Istrana
- Furnish All Houses
- Finish the Hospital District
- Build Ministry Areas
- Finish the Metro System
- Finish the Resort Area

Svitford
- Upgrade NPC Buildings to be in theme with other buildings
- Develop the road to the coast. Add farmhouses, farms, ect.


Pontiera
- Build up the farms and farmhouses of Pontiera.

Leighbury
- Develop a full urban plan for the Historical Area.

Dariyah
- Build up the spawn island, completing an already-established urban plan
- Plan the other districts to work on in the next 5-year-plan. Dariyah is planned to be a city large enough to rival Istrana itself upon completion.

Miaoxing
- Develop a full urban plan for the Chinese Island City.
- Build the Imperial Palace.

VC HQ
- Full Revamp. Refurnish everything, Touch up exteriors, Re-establish this institution under Istrana guidance and leadership.

We have the new residents, Tiny and Waffles, as well as Tiny opening a new business in Istrana!
We're currently doing an audit of all past Istrana documents, to best decide how to plan for the future
And an election is likely coming soon, since it is long overdue
