Op in pvp. I say no
It seems to me someone could go claim a bunch of animals. Maybe there could be an ownership reset once a month?

Maybe there could be an ownership reset once a month? From what I'm reading, you can only claim animals you bred (as in you only own the babies) so they'd be claiming animals they worked to get... so I don't see the issue. However, Knite brings up a valid point about the wolf thing. If there is a way to turn that off, I'd be all for this.

By right-clicking an animal you can see who (if anyone) owns it. Critter prevents you from killing or breeding from animals you don't own. As from v1.2 you can also own an unowned animal by branding it (right-clicking with an iron spade).

I guess, but it would be a pain to only be able to claim animals you bred.
Quote from: MossyPaws on 28 May 2013, 08:44:49 PMI guess, but it would be a pain to only be able to claim animals you bred.So wait, first you're complaining that people would run around claiming them all, now you're complaining that you want to be able to claim parents? You have to be on one side or the other.
Or, all of this could be avoided by putting a roof on your animal cages, with lockettes.

You could build a whole cage just out of doors with lockets
