I think the nick name mods edit (idk when) so you cant make it as long as fuck which is goo cuz i hate having one name taking up 2 lines..
But if you want a very coloured nickname its too long when if you have it with only two tone its fine could is there away around this?

And in my opinion, I think it should stay that way.

Who told you this? Star liked to make up rules and enforce them without consent from the majority of the Staff.
This is not a rule and is not, or should not be, true.

The only time I give people shit about their nicks is when it's obnoxiously long and even then it's not a demand, it's a suggestion.

I changed it to 45, so &1a would give a, so every character is 3 long, so 3x15=45. Should allow for every letter to be a different colour, unless you use bold/itallic/underline/obfuscated which you can't anyway
