Minecraft clunky launcher bullshit

So 99.999% of the time I open MC Launcher, I ignore literally everything other than the play button, and click play.


And what god damn happens is not only does another window open, but TWO more windows open, and it creates "nativelog.txt" on my desktop.


So now my screen is cluttered, and my desktop has a useless icon of clutter added to it. What the hell is this garbage, honestly? 1 window, just launch the damn game, fuck off. I understand the launcher window being separate for companies that have several games, but this is just a MC launcher.

Why do I have to close 2 windows every time, and delete a stupid desktop icon EVERY TIME? Is there a way to fix this INSANITY? Specifically the nativelog.txt. I was able to disable the window clutter in the launcher settings. I just want the stupid desktop icon to BE GONE.

You can get rid of the "Game Output" by going into the settings of your profile and turning it off, same for the launcher.

As for the .txt file, this forum page says the file is a shortcut and deleting and creating a new one solves the problem. Someone else said delete and recreate your minecraft shortcut.

Also, I access Minecraft through steam using non-steam game, and I haven't even seen the .txt file anywhere.

Idk if this would help, but reinstall Minecraft?

It might give u a download of a later version of the launcher.

My launcher looks different, and doesn't open a shit ton of windows...

So try reinstalling
