Why should I vote for you?

I would like to hear each candidate's platform and what event ideas they have!
There are a lot of attitudes going on around here, Don't let me get one.

reasons to vote naomi: second sexiest person on the ballot, slight southern drawl, has won woman of the year every year since 1899 (the mainstream media doesn't want you to know)

vote for naomi idiots

like if you need to me to write out a fully fledged post to persuade you i will, but i just prefer we avoid all that effort and you vote for naomi

Naomi is hot. Hot cm is nice. 8) 8)

Hello VillageCrafters  8)

If I am elected as Community Minister, I promise to combine my group efforts and passion for art to create cool new items, seasonal events, and will try my best to revive past event efforts with the help of anyone who wants to contribute. The season for Halloween is approaching, and I am beyond excited to start new events for the fall. My only goal is to get players back on the server, new and old, and make sure there is always something exciting to look forward to!

I already have new ideas for update-related events that have not been explored yet, new build competitions with seasonal themes and fun prizes, and events where everyone can participate and receive rewards. Trick or treating is a MUST!!!!!!

VillageCraft has quite a few talented artists and I hope to get them involved in designing cool trophies/weapons/items for in-game use. Nothing has made me more sad than not seeing many people on and I genuinely want to try my best in getting players back online and keep this unique community alive.

As someone who is always filled with ideas and has a lot of free time, I think I would make a worthwhile CM for this election. That being said, I wish everyone luck in the election and regardless of the outcome I am excited to see what events will unfold.

LONG LIVE VILLAGECRAFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello!

Why should you vote for me, you may ask? Well, that's a question I was asking myself just a few weeks ago when people were nominating me. I joined this server when it was about six months old, and have watched it grow up ever since. I've served this wonderful community as the systems administrator for ten years(!) this summer, and have been a member of the staff team for even longer than that. And I do see it as serving the community, trying my best to do what's best for the server and fulfilling the wishes of those who play on it. I'll admit I may not have been the most punctual at times (the update wasn't that late, right?), but throughout the past decade I've poured my heart and soul into making this server the best place it can be. This community has always been there for me whenever I've needed it, and I do everything I can to make sure it's here for anyone else who needs it.

As far as what I plan on doing, I'll of course be running as many seasonal events as I can, with activities and exclusive items to match the theme of the season. With Halloween and Christmas looming on the horizon, there's plenty of exciting things I've got in mind that hopefully everyone can enjoy, and collect some momentos in the process. Oh and I can bring the British tradition of Bonfire night to the server on the 5th of November, because I'm sure there's absolutely nothing else important happening on that day that would make you want to watch fireworks as a distraction.

I'd also like to put a focus on minigames if elected, as I find them a fun way of getting together in small groups and spending some time doing something fun. I've been writing down ideas for years for little minigames here and there which can make for good events, but also be good for replaying a bunch of times in the weeks/months/years to follow as a small activity if you're ever bored, or as something to compete against your friends with. Growing up playing Mario Party games with my family, the short yet competitive minigames were always a great way to spend an evening, and I still find the games fun to play now whenever I visit home for a while. By bringing things like that to VC, I hope to have more things to do on the server, either alone or in groups, even if you're short on time or stuck for build ideas.

While a lot of events are good for getting the community together for a night or a weekend, I do sometimes feel like we're all somewhat isolated on the server, all doing our own thing, so one idea I had to bring the community together on a more long-term basis was the idea of a communal village (or close villages) somewhere in the new terrain. Everyone collaborating on establishing a shared city in close proximity to each other could be fun, it lets us all show off our own flair and ideas, and means every time we log into the server the area around us will have new changes to explore. Being close together would make the voice chat mod even more fun as people bump into each other, and the whole vibe of a big joint project like that could be good at getting people online more often.

I've got so many fun ideas for this server, that I've held back on somewhat in recent years to avoid stepping on the toes of the CM. And ultimately that's why I made the decision to run this time around - to have the opportunity to try out a lot of the ideas I had, and hopefully make things that are fun and enjoyable for everyone. As admin I've had a hand in implementing things for a lot of the CM events for several years, now I'm looking forward to leading that process myself, with an amazing team to help make those ideas come to life.

At the end of the day, regardless of who wins, I look forward to working with the new CM to help them make their ideas a reality on the server, in the same way I've been there to help others in the past. Good luck to everyone in this election, I know any of the candidates will do a great job! :)
