And now, the moment you've all been waiting for... NPCs are now for sale again!

We no longer sell boring inactive replicas, but armored adventuring companions who will fight with you. Currently we have two 'low-level' models for sale, but more types will open up as time goes on. Information follows:

NPC Information
  • There are two modes that any NPC can be set in: Bodyguard and Sentinel.
    • Bodyguards will follow you around and automatically engage monsters in your immediate area, as well as any player character that attacks you.
    • Sentinels are positioned at one specific PVP-ON location and will attack any monster that strays into their range or attacks them. Sentinels can also be set to patrol a certain path through any PVP-ON area.
    • The mode of the NPC is determined at the time of purchase.
  • NPCs have as much as health as a regular player, and recover at a rate of 1 health point per 20 seconds.
  • You can currently only have 1 Bodyguard at a time. You can have as many Sentinels as you like.
  • Once a NPC reaches 0 health, they die permanently. If you want another NPC you will have to buy another one.
  • NPCs are use at your own risk. Players can't attack them within town borders, but if a player or monster kills them in the Outlands you are out of luck.
  • You can name your NPC! If it is the name of a player account it will inherit the current skin of that account. (We cannot change skins to match whatever name you want. Staff reserve the right to veto any requested NPC name for any reason)

NPCs Currently for sale

Iron Class
The Iron Class NPCs are helpful against mobs in the Outlands, but not much else. They are good helpers, but require supervision to ensure they don't get taken down by multiple foes.

Iron Guard
Cost:10k
This sturdy guard is decked out in iron armor and wields an iron sword. He will charge into battle no matter the odds to protect his master.

Iron Ranger
Cost: 10k
This ranger is deft with a bow and can hit targets from several blocks away without fear of immediate reprisal. He is armored in iron to protect against those that do get in close.

For an additional fee I can setup a NPC with one line speech text. However it will have to follow the above rules. Stationary NPCs are not allowed within PVP-OFF areas.

Contact a SM or Admin in game if you're interested. :)

I agree. It is a little pricey..

If you smoke my stash I will cut your dick off and feed it to my hounds so they get a good taste for your flesh. I will then set you free in the forest and give you a one day head start so my hounds get nice and hungry, then I will unleash them and they will hunt you and devour your flesh. hoe

Also, if you do choose to hack VC in whatever method, I can get your IPs from the server log, and with more coding knowledge than most people here, I could easily and more importantly legally hack you back. And if you hack VC, I'll be cross. Don't try it.

That is all

They are pricy because they will give you an added advantage over other players in PVP. They're meant to be something you pay a lot for and then want to protect - not just dump in lava at a whim.

That being said I am going to adjust the pricing a bit. :)

Unfortunately not. It creates too much of an issue with chunks being kept loaded in unused areas.

I think I see a flaw on how to keep the NPC's in one place, unless they TP with you, in which case ignore this :P

Yes, it will. However the NPCs obey the PVP-OFF setting with WorldGuard, and players cannot damage them in PVP-OFF zones.

NPCs' damage, armor, etc. is not determined by their equipment. So no, you can't equip them with specialized gear. Later we will have 'Specialty' NPCs that have advanced abilities though. :)
