Garden Grief? Oh no!
« on: 31 March 2013, 12:05:36 PM »
Accused players: TheBrickmaster02 and TheDefender00
Grief description: I came back from my tour, checked my garden, and I found this.

I never said my garden was public. This happened in Dewford, the town I live in and Brick owns and TheDefender co-owns. Coordinates are at about -3000, -1000 I believe. I suggest a replacement of sugar cane and sand, along with a fine for grief. Thank you for your time and cooperation

Personally, I don't believe 18 sugar cane and one sand block is really worth a fine. When I'm online, I'll replace the stuff :)

Upon further investigation, it's a bit more extensive than previously mentioned...

x1 Sand [replaced]
x18 sugar [half replaced, expected to grow more]
x2-4 nether wart
x1 ladder
x6 cobble
x8 dirt
x4 pumpkin stems [replaced by sax]
x3 or 4 chickens
all wheat placed was actually supposed to be carrots/potatoes [half a stack of each given to die]
and a rude sign placed

All of this is easy to replace, but it is a little more extensive than I like.
However, Brickmaster and Defender, the two offenders, own the village so they may have a reason for what they did...
I think a talking to is in order.

I'm re-opening this topic in case Die has something else to add.

With the chickens and wolves, I think a fine is necessary here

350 x 4 for the chicken spawns
2000 x 2 for the wolf spawns

I think this should be split up between the two of them, since they both did their share of grief

Figure out the punishment or lock the topic they won't talk about it and each time I say "Why did you grief me?", they just ignore me or say, "What grief we didn't grief you"

Hold on a second. The 'offenders' own this village?

I'm not saying what they did was right, but if it's their village, you should probably take your stuff and leave if they're griefing you.

Is there any actual proof that they killed your animals? Animals are known to despawn.

A grief is a grief, no matter who owns it.
I think they should be held accountable. Otherwise what's the point of moving to someone else's village if they can grief you and get away with it?

I agree with grief being grief. I only hesitate because it's in their village, and we typically try not to meddle with village rules. Did Die build this structure with permission of the owners? Is Die still a member of the village or was she evicted? Is there any proof to the animal killings?

We need to talk to the owners/griefers in this case before we render a verdict. :)

I had full permission. I'm moving now because I am constantly griefed, but still a member. I swear I left the chicken pen closed, and my wolves were on the main floor before I left for a while.

More proof about the wolves. I asked brick why they killed my wolves, and then I asked about defender killing them. This is what I exactly heard I believe on 2nd March. "he said they ran away"

You are welcome to live in my village, if you're griefed ( which you won't be as I have had no grief ) you can say bye bye to who griefed you and they're gone. I am strict on griefing in my village. Also sorry for posting here.

Also, if you do choose to hack VC in whatever method, I can get your IPs from the server log, and with more coding knowledge than most people here, I could easily and more importantly legally hack you back. And if you hack VC, I'll be cross. Don't try it.

I live in my own village now and took down everything I made in the house. I still have my home set in dewford, but all it is is a cobble platform and a lot of cobble covering water. Thanks for offering tho. PS please PM me sax on the utilities of your village and everything about the houses (size, price, etc.)

I took down my house and moved because I was scared I would be griefed even again. My wolves and chickens weren't replaced and they wouldn't budge when I asked for a replacement.
