how can we the server was made 1.2.5 emerald weren't there yet.but it could be possible for admins to put them on sale or add them to the world.

Zones generated after the server was updated will have emeralds spawn in them. remember they only spawn in hills and extreme hills zones, as well as being available from NPC villagers. You will have to trek out far to find new zones that could have emeralds and noobs have a tendency to kill everything that moves, so finding villagers will be difficult.

There was a similar issue with nether quartz and existing world gen, but as extreme hills biomes aren't all that common, this would be much harder to find emerald in new chunks, especially as a large amount of the world has been explored...

The nether quartz issue was resolved because I found a plugin that placed quartz ore in the nether, in already existing chunks. I wonder if this could be done again with emerald?!

Well, GOOD NEWS! because I found this plugin, which is a little harder to use as you need to be in the biome for it to work, but I'm imagining that admins could come and regen emerald in people's extreme hills biomes, right?

Not only was the server NOT made in 1.2.5 (where did you even come up with that?), but there definitely are emeralds in the world.

The server was originally made in 1.0.0
