« on: 18 July 2012, 11:00:17 PM »

My property is also having issues keeping ahold of animals - it seems whenever the chunks the animals are located on are unloaded from memory, it's not saving the existence of the animals, so they're all just despawned. A bit hard to keep a farm if all your animals disappear, lol.

My sheep at Narnia have stayed for over 5 months. They only recently disapeared after someone stole them while I was not on.

Not sure what to say. I'm clearly not the only one having the problem, and one person not being affected doesn't really help us all out in the end, lol.

I believe this is a problem that 1.3 is resolving, the glitchy mobs are getting stuck in wall or roof blocks and elevating to the surface. All my above ground freerange animals are accounted for but my underground farms numbers are dropping everytime the chunk unloads.

It is hard to contain mobs in this update other than leaving them roam free in a large area and rounding them up every so often.
This problem is supposedly fixed in the snapshots? Not sure.

This might also explain why slimes like to surprise the fuck out of you when you're walking around in an underground chamber... those ninja bastards drop from the ceiling and nearly kill me before I can even see them, lol.

If you or someone else did it, then it keeps happening... like, repeatedly, over the course of a couple weeks.

Killall only does hostile enemies. It has happened before and I checked my fields and they were fine like i said before. So must be them just dieing to something or not getting reloaded.
