Rainy using sprint mod
« on: 20 July 2012, 09:59:33 PM »
Epic took this pic and sent it to me. This is through the use of a sprint mod. If you don't believe me, I can install the mod and make a video demonstrating it.

Wouldn't Potions of Swiftness have the bubble potion textures coming out of him then?

I was looking at the wrong thing. It is either lag or a hacked client.

Thats lag bitch. I can reproduce it cause I see MrSparklePants and Bl4ck and basicly anyone that runs do this. lol. I see it happen to you all the time too. Btw, I don't have a sprint mod and Bl4ck knows because I sent him my minecraft.jar recently and Cj knows I miss alot of packets cause of lag.

I was looking at the wrong thing. It is either lag or a hacked client.

Again, I don't think it could be lag. There had to be 2 major things to happen for this to come to light:
1. a person must notice that there is something wrong. (dirt at the feet)
2. take a snapshot of it.

I don't think that lag could last that long for someone to take a major note of something wrong (dust on the feet without the potion particles), and then take a pic of it.

okay,

cgraff: ako?
cgraff: We need you
cgraff: I just PROVED rainy is cheating
cgraff: but bl4ck keep defending him!
Ako: bl4ck defending rainy?
Ako: weird
cgraff: yeah
cgraff: I proved to everyone that he is using a sprint mod
Ako: what does cj think
cgraff: even cj, who doubted me
cgraff: he agrees
cgraff: with me
Ako: i cant believe that rainy would use a sprint mod when he is on such thin ice
cgraff: I proved he did
Ako: im reading it now
cgraff: but he and bl4 say it's fps
cgraff: BUT FPS IS CLIENTSIDE
cgraff: NOT SERVERSIDE
cgraff: WE WOULD NOT SEE FPS ISSUES
Ako: i wonder if sometimes you can
cgraff: you can't
Ako: thanks for the info
cgraff: yeah
cgraff: I'm just mad that an admin can be so onesided
cgraff: see, fps is when your computer is strained
cgraff: and it affects you
cgraff: others might see you "teleporting"
cgraff: but particles are handled by  the server
Ako: im saying, i wonder if you are sprinting while others see the skipping/teleporting, if the sprint shit at your feet are made
Ako: oh
cgraff: so that if someone with all particals on can see the particals of someone with minimal particles

I'd edit it down, but I don't have time.

If you didn't have the authority, why did you do it? Seems silly to acknowledge you can't do something, and in the same breath, do it anyways. Don't make yourself look any worse. :P

I know this is a little late, but this was me drinking a potion of swiftness. Note the potion swirls and the lack of dirt at my feet.
I ran with my character before taking this picture as to show that the dirt didn't appear even when i did drink it.
Therefore, it isn't a potion.

As for lag?

You CAN see fps issues. Ask Akomine and JanuaryJones about spygadget, my friend from school.

No my fps does not affect anyone else game play. The server process the information and sends it to others and your client. If you are laggin on your screen you should be fine to everyone else (fps wise). If you throw on a lag switch you start stop going all over the place.

It's too late. Innocent until proven guilty, and bl4ck decided to stick up for him. He's safe.

Rain almost noone believes you, and no fps is not possible to cause server lag.

But bl4ck does, and the rest of the admins are impartial. He's safe, unfortunately.

I witnessed Soundbyte lag a bit as he was sprinting in the new trading post building. I visibly saw him sprinting, laggily hault, particles still appearing at his feet, and suddenly mini-teleport a few meters across the room, still sprinting.

For greater clarity: Soundy doesn't hack, yet was standing still with particles appearing at his feet for a short moment.

We declared Rainy not guilty because of the possibility that a little lag skip could cause it. I personally witnessed such a thing with Sound.

For this reason, I vote that Rainy is not guilty.

Edit: UNLESS, Kovos's theory is right, and Rainy was literally just standing there for a long time with particles at his feet, Tr0ll_, was he?
