On the topic of "what is the world coming to?", and because I didn't feel like making a new thread, I'm going to post this. Aparently, according to the oxford dictionary, things like YOLO, FML and amazeballs are now actual proper words.

I think I mentioned it in another thread, but let's all understand that dictionaries are simply meant to reflect language as spoken and written by the people, and not an authority on what is and isn't proper. Those terms are in common usage, like air's mom, and thus the dictionary is just defining them.
