On the server, i was notified that the server would update to 1.8.1. if that will happen, is there an exact date that the update will take place?

The best answer so far, is as soon as all the plugins are ready for 1.8.1, and the version is stable enough.
Hopefully soon.

I think a post will be made if there is a date though.

Out of interest, who told you?

As Catty said, we'll update as and when we can. We're doing tests of the plugins and things in 1.8, so it shouldn't be too long. Things are much different this update though, so it'll take a bit longer than the other updates.

If you're dying to play on 1.8.1, you can always play on VCV.

Twas me. But I didn't say we were updating .. I said we were in the process of it, and have been stopped by a few plugins that aren't playing nicely.
