This is a little way to help us advertise. Many people first discovered VC through the MinecraftForum, so we made a new post to attract some new players

I've informed players of the other, now dead, village craft server to join us. I am excited to see what amazing talents and personalities they bring to our already amazing community - some of them are incredibly talented (saw the server with my own eyes, and wow, some amazing builds and people were there)!

since this has been bumped recently, I just want to point something out; When people advertise on VC, we get salty at them, so we shouldn't ever get players that way by advertising on another server. not saying anyone has specifically done this, but I just wanted to point out that it's an awful way of attracting players, from personal expereinces.

I totally understand that, that's why I only did it a long time (over a yr now) since it closed. Also didn't say everyone join vc, I just said I found a new server that's similar if ppl want to join a similar server as the other one is closed and lockdown has ppl bored. If the server was still active I would not have done such a thing at all. I also didn't mention VC unless someone pmed me saying they were interested.

I agree its not a good way or attracting ppl and can be very annoying to all those who are working hard to make their servers the best they can be, then a random comes on and is like, nah leave here and join somewhere else. Again tho, I only did this because they have been shut for over a year now, so nobody is negatively affect, only positively affected as they can enjoy a new server.

In case anyone was wondering, there's no rule against advertising on VC if someone posts an IP, just that we'll be quicker to consider it spam if they're being jerks about it. With that said, going to a server only to advertise is rude.

I feel like with the new update, we should be bumping this again and gets some new ads going. I've been noticing quite a few more new players joining recently and I want to see more :^D I feel bad for the new players that join to find a dead server with nobody on.
