Chat Spying

I have evidence of Livid using his staff powers to spy on my chats and make personal decisions based on them. I would like action to be taken against this. Either taking his ranking away or removing that specific privilege as me and my friends have been forced to limit our conversations to when he is offline because of this.

I am aware that I have done this before and seems like a case of boy who cried wolf but this is a concrete example of livid abusing his power and affecting the playing experience of players. I urge whatever staff reads this to take it seriously

PS I told Lawgunner to not post this because law has been behind no good: he exploits and fires up new players by portraying livid in a negative view, for example, a player named galaxywolf or whatever told Livid to kill himself when law was blabbering his bullshit

I told you two to ignore each other if you can't get along. Law, I was told that you messaged a new player today to avoid livid because hes toxic and aggressive (para phrasing) I don't know how true this is, but if this is happening it needs to stop, you are not helping the server by driving players away, and if I personally see this happening you will be muted. If you don't like Livid that is fine with me, ignore him like I suggested earlier. Livid I advise you to ignore Law.

also, calling this "abuse" is a stretch, we have social spy for a reason, Livid don't repeat what you see in social spy unless its to another staff member please.

Yes please, I agree with Octo.  You both need to ignore each other and grow up a little.   That includes you Livid.  Not only does lawgunner need to stop but you need to stop badmouthing lawgunner to other players as well.   I've seen that side of the coin too.

Just to add to this, we've had this feature on since vc went public over half a decade ago and this is the first complaint we've ever gotten about it. And he isnt actively spying on you, PM's just pop up on our chat, it's not like he is typing commands to spy on you. We've used it many times to catch cheaters and xrayers.

Also I unlocked the topic in case lawgunner or someone else has any more complaints about it.

Livid seems to have a lot more reports than any of the other staff and they all originate from him and players talking. I think we could all save a lot of time if Livid and Law (or any other player) just dont antagonize each other. Like this report is a petty way to instigate a conflict which wont end good well for either of you. TLDR; Law should stop posting dumb reports, Livid should stop going getting involved in Laws dumb reports.
