[Need Luis' Opinion] Village Pathways
« on: 21 September 2017, 02:34:06 PM »
I was thinking now that concrete was added, that a player (and passive mobs if possible) could gain speed 2 on any solid concrete, and speed 1 on grass pathways.

I know this will make most village pathways look the same if they want the speed boost but, this would be useful in villages that use concrete for a pathway (which makes sense in a way) and grass pathways for more rural areas.

John Coffey: I'm tired, boss. Tired of being on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. I'm tired of never having a buddy to be with, to tell me where we's going to, coming from or why. Mostly, I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world every day. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head, all the time... If there's significant demand for this, I can look into it. Not guarantees how easy it would be to do, but I don't imagine it'd be too difficult to implement if wanted.

What's wrong with beacons though? They offer the same speed 2 boost, with the added bonus of not being restricted to certain paths.

Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

I think it sounds annoying if someone wanted to use the blocks as a floor design but didnt want speed. Interesting concept though, but beacons are better i think.
