It was mostly out of curiosity, but I was also interested in seeing how many people use specific browsers, so I know if I could use some bits of code on a thing I'm building without it causing problems for too many people. There's some things I noticed from 2019 so far:
- Shoutout to the 139 people who used Netscape to view the website. How's the 90s going?
- Similarly, shoutout to the single person running Windows 98, 2 people on Windows Vista, and 3 people on Windows ME
- Hello to the one person from each of Andorra, Rwanda, Botswana, and Antigua and Barbuda. Nice to know we have an international audience
- Sorry to the single person from Cape Verde, who tried to load a page on the website but only managed 8.77kb before loosing connection
- To the approximately 3000 visitors who somehow clicked through to us from some disturbingly named porn sites, I hope you enjoyed our content as much as the sites you came from...
(I realise all of these are probably bots or crawlers, but it's fun to imagine that (some of them) are real people)
