You can vote "yes" or "no" for each candidate, and the one with the most votes can win.

The last CM election was indeed approval voting, which I like. Approval+disapproval voting is where you can vote for or against someone, which I also like. VC forums allows for approval voting quite easily, but not a+d.

Yeah I think with the amount of candidates running, a ranked-choice, or approval voting, would be good.

Unclear if it will be bug-free by voting time or not. Unless I'm wrong, Luis.

I like either method tho.

I mean that test had 10 votes and as far as I can tell there's nothing majorly broken about it, except the edge cases when STV itself breaks (ties etc)

Also, just a side note, as it might affect future votes:

In the future, we are considering making the CM position indefinite, with the way to change CMs being a vote to remove them. This has the benefit of not punishing CMs that are doing well, and can give CMs more time to get things done.

We are also considering allowing the CM to make an official CM team of two other people. This is all being planned out still, but I felt it right to introduce the idea, as it might affect future votes.

We are also considering allowing the CM to make an official CM team of two other people. This is all being planned out still, but I felt it right to introduce the idea, as it might affect future votes.

A few concerns.

1. I would prefer this to be confirmed by a Parliament Vote.

2. I worry people would not challenge the CM position because they don't want to 'cause drama', so to speak, so CM's wouldn't be ousted unless they were doing a TRULY horrible job.
