A Thing
« on: 27 November 2020, 02:20:36 AM »
Quips and Qualms do they stick?
10 years pass but nothing hits
Memories wilt like that poppy long gone
A 10 flower garden turned into nothing but rot
There in my garden around sat my 10 wooden houses.
Now they are gone too.
There is no wind in block land, but time seems to move anyway
Maybe they would stop there pitiful advances
their Mindless tricks
their honorless gags.
They might have

However in those streets of old, now rot and dead
I wonder the same for myself
Are my Quips and Qualms sticking either?
Are those flowers uprooted stinging this much?
Is there really any wind in this block land?

You may beg for something to return but does it ever truly?
The leaves on a tree may fall and turn to detritus- smelly and broken like rot
But flowers falling off their stems, rot sweet. Their aroma like candy
They come back never the same, but always that rot is that-
Sweet.

Did you ever want the flower then or did you only want the sweetness?
