My thanks for the offer Octo it was beyond what you needed to do.
However I am not sure i really wish to speak to the vulture that claimed 3 years of my single handed work just to empty the larder, so to speak. The items taken are not even that important, I could always gather/buy more, it's the fact that such work was taken away without any care to what it meant. They obviously have no morals.
It was nice while it lasted, i hope the server keeps going.
Might i make a suggestion, that a little time is put into checking if a player has left. I mean it wouldn't have taken any effort to see that i was still around and a small email to ask would have been the smallest or courtesy, specially during the times we are in at the moment.

We have a list of players whose stuff we don't mess with if they have a valid reason for not being able to stay "active" on VC being "inactive" is considered not playing for 2 months. These rules apply to everyone equally. That being said, however. IF you have a valid reason to be on this list - we can add you, we don't however just add anyone who asks to it, What's your reasons for not being able to play for a few months? in my opinion, 2 months of not playing is very generous before we start letting people's stuff get claimed. Since I joined VC players have been able to do this and its actually been a pretty major part of the server for some. It helps clear up all the 10 years of inactive villages the server has among other things, depending on the person the reasons for wanting to claim a town is different. I am one of the opinion that It doesn't take much to log in once every 2 months to prevent this from happening to you. We allow people to "salvage" inactive buildings. Saying the person who claimed your town doesn't have morals when they followed the server's rules doesn't really seem accurate, to me at least. There has been unfortunate times where someone buys a town, and that player decides they're gonna return later that day, it DOES suck, but its often able to be worked out by communication.. (if you're willing to, I suggest you try with whomever bought your town.)
It may not have taken the effort to email you about this, but it does take the effort to email every single player who is inactive which is why we don't let anyone know, occasionally friend/players will let one of their buddies know if they're about to go inactive, keeping track of whos active/inactive and letting them know would be a monstrous task for staff, its unfortunately mostly up to the player to make sure they stay "active" if they want (which essentially means playing once every 2 months even for 2 seconds)
