This December, VillageCraft turns 10, and to celebrate throughout the month we're going to be sharing the top 10 players of different statistics. It's part of a long-term ongoing project of mine, which I hope to share soon

For the first day, let's take a look at the 10 players who've logged in/out the most! While some long-term players are high up in that list, you may be surprised to see it's Kylie, who has been banned for 4 years, taking the top spot on this list!

Follow this topic to keep up as we post more fun statistics moving through this 10th anniversary month. Use it to compare your stats with others (you can check your own in-game), or suggest which stats you'd like to see. Maybe you'll see your suggestions posted...

Since today is National Mutt Day, I thought it would be fun to look at some statistics on wolves. We all know that Minecraft has terribly neglected dogs as a mob, given that there are 11 different cat varieties and still only one dog, so it must be a mutt right? Interestingly, I discovered that one player, a staff member in fact, holds the top spot in two wolf categories! We all know that @[SoupMod]KingNurtul is the SoupMod, which kind of makes you wonder, what’s in the soup?!?!

Today's stat, posted by Luis:

For today's stat, we're looking at how many times everyone has killed those poor innocent villagers. While there's a few questionable stats there, it's Frog who takes the top spot by a mile. What caused Frog to kill more villagers than the rest of the top 10 combined may not be clear, but who knows when he may strike next?

Catching up on a couple days I failed to cross-post!

More stats for today! After @burrito mentioned this - “you should check pandas next, which psychopath would kill pandas”, I was of course curious. Unsurprisingly, (ahem) burrito made the list. However I was shocked to find my panda-skin sister on this list as well! @SarahGolem, how could you?!

Paste and Yvette talking about Christmas songs got me curious about making music on VC, so I looked up some stats on note blocks. Turns out ThriftLife is in second place but who is this in the top spot??

So I apparently forgot to post a stat for yesterday, but luckily Dallas filled the gap, so I'm taking her turn for today, and we're looking at ladders! In my opinion one of the more under-appreciated blocks in the game, even more so now we have elytra and enderpearls in the later game. The numbers for this are surprisingly close, but it's Gerrit who pulls out on top for most ladders placed!

In honour of me typing this on a very shaky train, I felt it only appropriate that today's stat look at the distance people have travelled on a minecart. An under-used mode of transport in the game, possibly due to their somewhat slow speed, but can be fun and scenic ways of getting around. If you've never ridden the VC railway before, give it a go, who knows what cool things you'll find! As for the stats, there's a few people who've travelled quite far by rail, but it's Sax who takes the lead this time by a mile!

One of the things I enjoy the most about these statistics is seeing what blocks other players have used a lot. Here's one that I have never managed to successfully use in a build, and now I'm wondering, what does Yvette know that we don't???

A new day, a new stat, this time it's to see who's got the sweetest tooth on the server. When it comes to slices of cake, these stats are definitely not a lie! While there's been a few hundred slices of cake eaten by some players, it's Kat way out in the lead having eaten 1450 slices of cake over the years. That's a diet I like the sound of!

Remember the good old days when the only way to move animals was with wheat and a lot of frustration patience? Thankfully leads were added to take some of that pain away, and some of you have been busy crafting them! Relevart's standing strong in second, but it's DDR who's pipped them to the post for first place!

Environmentalists beware, some of our players are on a mission to clear huge swaths of land for building… or for fun? With quotes such as – “I don't do deforesting for the money that's for sure”, “Tree deforestation is my passion”, “I LOVE deforestation”, and “Mi mucho gusto deforestation en un video juego” – is it any wonder that Naomi tops the list of VC loggers?? Top logger on birch, oak, jungle and dark oak, and 4th on spruce. Although, she seems to spare the acacia trees, perhaps their non-uniformity protects them from her axe, or maybe she just doesn’t like orange. And we thought dark oak was her least favorite…

There's been some great suggestions in this thread, which I plan on doing some in the next few days, but first I wanted to try something different and look at the stats for one thing I could never do... breaking spawners. Some of you have been busy doing this abomination, but it's Muchup who stands out in front as the spawner scrooge of the server!

Nearly let the day get away from me, but here is our new statistic for today. We all know that sneaking has its uses in minecraft, but one player certainly earns the "sly like a fox" title with the amount of sneaking he's done! When that tip says "there is someone behind you", they might be talking about CyphurTheFox...

I'm back with another statistic, which means LUIS has to do two in a row now, sleepy head that he is. Maybe he had too much pie and couldn't stay awake to post a stat for today. Well, since he posted about cakes, the least I can do is post about pies, plus Mossy specifically requested this one. Apparently dragons like pie, who knew Bahamut?

I take that sleep-induced missing of a day, and raise it with two statistics on the same day! To celebrate the fact this game is made up of the words "mine" and "craft", let's look at number of stone blocks mined, and number of times a crafting bench has been used. Interestingly these are two very different lists of people! While DkSpecialK takes the top spot for mining with over half a million stone blocks broken, they're down in 10th for crafting. Myst is the only other person on both lists, in #6 and #8, but it's Ascn in the lead for crafting!

The music in this game has always been great, and records are a good way to liven up the mood. But for records, you need a jukebox, so today we're looking at who's placed the most! I don't really know what I was expecting here, but honestly this top 10 was one of the most surprising to me. Taking the #5 spot is my friend Chaos who joined the server with me all those years ago, beating out Ako and Yvette in joint 7th. The joint places don't stop there though, as it's CD and Nurtul in top spot for this!

NGL the fact we can't make our own records bugs me. also I hope mc makes more genre themed discs like pigstep. some metal would be nice obviously for me.

It's time for one of the more requested stats, distance by elytra! A surprisingly new addition to the game, I think most of us take it for granted now as an essential piece of kit to have. Some of you have definitely travelled far with it, with Kat topping the leaderboard having travelled over 11 million blocks!

Those of you who've been around for a while - and survived the Cyan Wool Protest and the ensuing Cyan Wool Festival (sorry again Paste!) - know that our server has an odd obsession with cyan wool. So let's take a look and see who the most-obsessed are - turns out that while Ako is in second place, it's AI Tenretni who comes out on top, probably with the help of world edit and some other fancy tools. Either way, that's a LOT of cyan wool. No wonder the server rebelled when the price went up - without cyan wool, Qualia could never have been built!

As per Ako's request, let's look at number of jumps today! Unfortunately Ako didn't make the top 10, but was very close in the #12 spot (with 917,982). With 2.88x as many jumps though, it's Kylie taking the lead
