fireworks display
« on: 27 December 2012, 06:01:53 AM »
Planning a fireworks display for new years. Well specifically the weekend after new years, to give people time to recover from the real event  :)

Currently have a plan for 208 fireworks, which I guess will take about a minute or minute and half to go through, in a carefully planned display.

Anyway this thread is to see what interest there is for such an event. Reply if you would like to see this! Free food will also be given out for anyone attending :D

Also need an ideal time to do this, so as many people as possible can see it. Please give times with a GMT time zone so I can work it out  :)

Sounds great!! I would love to come, I may be able to bring some fireworks too but I don't have much gunpowder (about a stack or so), so I may not be able to bring many. I am in UK so GMT0, but I know many people are in the US so that may be a problem...

Don't worry about bringing fireworks, unless you want to pop them off randomly after the show. The show is going to be set with redstone and everything, following a set plan.

Just updated last night, so you're not that far behind the times. ;)

I actually called him 'laddie'.. But seeing as Air DOES sell his 'services' for cash, your point still stands.

I think what Luis meant was that he would be able to donate some fireworks to your cause so that you wouldn't need to make them all.

My public fireworks show will be this weekend! Saturday midday my time, that's Friday evening roughly for the US peeps. Any and all are invited for this belated new years fireworks show.

More specifically it will be around 10-11AM GMT +8, Saturday (Western Australian time).
Or 6-7pm (GMT -8) on Friday night (Pacific Standard Time).

This is a choreographed show using nearly 100 dispensers to launch near 200 fireworks! The show ground is adjacent to my giant tree, a sight in itself.

There will be free cookies and pie for all!
