Plug-in Suggestion~
« on: 5 April 2012, 05:04:51 PM »
I love building large things on minecraft, and using enchanted weapons is a huge help. However, as is inevitable they break, and I can't find anyone selling another one like it.  Thus, I am forced to put off all building, and afk grind at mob spawners/etc till I can get enough exp and luck to get a similar enchant again, which wastes a few real life days i could be building pretty things.

My question is: Could we get a mod that allows the repair of tools, primarily enchanted items, like a blacksmith mod or some of the repair shop type mods.

I would happily pay money/materials/ or exp to repair my favorite enchanted gear instead of watching it snap and poof away into nothingness.

Some mods I have heard about that have been updated this year are;

RepairShop: http://www.curse.com/server-mods/minecraft/repairshop#t1:description
RepairDispenser: http://www.curse.com/server-mods/minecraft/repairdispenser

I have not tried them out as I do not own my own server, so I do not know how well they work. But I beg you, pleeeaaase consider a mod that supports enchanted item repair.

I took me 3 weeks to finally get a looting/unbreakable/efficiency pick, and even longer to get a silk touch tool.

Yeah this would great, considering the fact I do not usually exp farm. So when I get a good enchantment I do not like to use it unless I need to. Another good plug-in might be EnchantView. Here is its page
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/753030-125124-thebombzens-mods/

It lets you see the enchantments you are putting on whatever you are enchanting.

I like the idea of repair but we have to make it either cost a lot of cash or  materials.  I love my fortune 3 un-breaking 3 efficiency 5 pick but I never use it because of how valuable it is besides to mine diamond.

I could see using XP to repair it (for half the enchant cost) or something like that but I don't know if the plugin you suggested can do that.

I still love the idea either way as I  have gone through 5 diamond pickaxes with un-breaking 3 + random enchants building my village. (only another 530k blocks to remove.

Hmmm..enchantview would be perfectly fine for me as well. Yes.

I just want something to keep from wasting half a day trying to get good enchants on equipment just to lose them.
